Mark is a MIT certified engineer with over 30 years of experience in the engineering trade. He served an apprenticeship at Pacific Steel for 4 years before spending 5 years in the UK. Mark has been a manager for 18 years and is known for his strong leadership skills, always ‘keeps the team tight and right’. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, skiing, fishing, and is a classic car enthusiast. Smiles are a trademark of his pleasant demeanor. As a leader, he is respected and admired by his team.
ABHINAND NANTHAKUMAR
PG Diploma, Mech (Grad. Mechanical Engineer)
Abhinand is a young, enthusiastic post-graduate engineer. A graduate of mechanical engineering, he is always ready to take on new challenges and rise to the occasion. He has short-term experience in multiple manufacturing fields as an intern and is certified by AUT. His hobbies include going to the gym and playing soccer. He is a known dancer and choreographer among his peers. With his enthusiasm and awesome dance moves, he keeps the team upbeat and lively!
RON ALTENA
Senior Welder
Ron is a senior welder with 40 years of experience. He’s been with Metal Repairs for 26 years, starting as a metal jobbing welder while learning general engineering. He has extensive experience in coach and truck body welding, production welding and jig making. Ron is also a classic motor scooter enthusiast, regular at church and a leader at NZ Boys Rally. Ron is a valued member of the Metal Repairs team and an expert in his field. We are lucky to have him on our team!
